ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We have received help from many people and organizations in the process of putting this exhibition together. First and foremost, we wish to thank the artists for their deep interest in our concept. Most of the documents were made specially for the exhibition and all were willing to lend their work without assurrance of when and in what condition they will be returned. We have been fascinated, touched, amused and humbled by the response we received to our queries and prospectus. The work speaks for itself.

We especially wish to recognize András Böröcz and Robbin Silverberg who connected us to both people and spaces and contributed many ideas in the formulation of the project. Through Dobbin Mill, Alma on Dobbin and 2B Galéria, they opened up their world wide network of artists and book makers which in turn lead to international mail artists, collage artists, Hungarian artists, AIR gallery artists and others in Germany, Japan and elsewhere.

In Japan, Aiko Kitagawa helped us make our original connection to MAC-Itami which became the first location for the show. Noriko Shimizu, Kiyotaka Kumano, Beatrix and Stanley Piesh and others worked hard to hang the entire exhibition in Itami in one day. Namba Joji and his events planning company, International Corp. Ltd. (inter-event.co.jp) have generously handled and paid to ship the documents to Yokohama. Mitsuo Toshida has made the ZAIM Yokohama stop possible. Thanks are also due to Beatrix J. Piesh and Edna Cantoral Acosta for their help in finding the spaces in Bratislava and Guadalahara. Other artists who helped us connect to excellent artist participants include Fred Wilson, Matt Freedman, and David Brody in New York, Jordan Crandall in San Diego and Arimichi Iwasawa in Kyoto.

Thanks are also due to the following people, organizations and companies for their support in bringing the show to Bratislava: Viktor Hulík - GALÉRIA Z, Edward Kemp - US Embassy (Bratislava), Ing. Ivan Ostrihoň - Tatra Real, Martin Šamaj Rndr. - BSP Group, Ing. Lubomír Brath - Rotarex, Lubo Roman Jr. - Leberfinger, Jozef Boskovič - BossCan, and Stanley J. Piesh - BSP Remo Inc. (New York)

In Guadalajara, we had enormous support from José Ramón Vázquez of Galería Ajolote and the hard work and enthusiasm of artist, Edna Cantoral Acosta .

"Your Documents Please" is hosted in New York in spacious quarters provided by Fine Light Inc. The New York location is also made possible by Prime Manhattan Realty, and Bernard Fleischer & Sons, Inc. Special thanks to Stanley Piesh and Bill Fleischer.

As the show travels, the growing list of spaces and organizations with the key persons involved are found below with url links. We appreciate all that they have done and are doing to facilitate passage and provide safe homes for "Your Documents Please."

Best Regards,

Daniel Georges and Rumiko Tsuda
